Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago Rusu-McCartin Club

Project Description

Within the Joint Public Safety Training Campus Community out lot, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago will construct a new youth community center for the Austin neighborhood on the Chicago west side. The new youth center will provide safe facilities for local youth to engage in a broad offering of programs that promote leadership development, academic success, and healthy lifestyle. The multi-story building will include indoor and outdoor recreation areas, a gymnasium, flexible programming spaces, game rooms and a kitchen. Its proximity to a variety of local schools make it an ideal to the site, serving the local community with much-needed activities and programs. Latent Design will lead the design development and construction of the project.

It just felt good to be able to hear that my community is also being thought about … and that I’m able to speak and put my opinion in on what’s happening in my community.
