50 Designers, 50 Ideas, 50 Wards

Project Description

Latent partnered with the Chicago Architecture Center to design an exhibition to showcase 50 transformative proposals for building a better Chicago. These proposals were curated by Martin Felsen, Sarah Dunn, and Reed Kroloff who tapped distinguished architecture + design firms throughout the city to create a new vision for each ward. Latent engaged Active Alloys to fabricate a unique 44-foot circular display track that encircled CAF’s Chicago city model in the atrium of the historic Railway Exchange Building. The display track utilized the existing lighting structure + a bespoke roller + attachment system to accommodate one double-sided board for each of the 50 architects selected to design ward-specific projects. Latent’s Boombox micro-retail project was featured in the 6th Ward.
